But anyways, today's the anniversary of "Amok Time" and I'd just like to take a moment to thank the late, great Theodore Sturgeon (the genius behind pon farr) for improving the lives of fangirls everywhere.

Premiere of Leverage, season 2 earlier. Apparently they're setting up home base in my one true love Boston this time around. New TNT series Dark Blue also debuted. Highlighting observations? Dylan McDermott needs to fucking shave. For realz realz, it's not natural (even for a TV character) to maintain perfect 5 o'clock shadow all day long. Plus, as an added layer of hardcore, one of the shady undercover cops used to play Trey on the OC. How's that for badass?

But while watching all this bull, I finally finished archiving my claimed chunk of unfilled prompts for st_xi_kink/stxikinkarchive! JOYGASM!! Accomplishment-gasm?

Also, claiming for Round 12 over at rounds_of_kink has officially begun. Someone's already claimed my Pike/Spock prompt! There is a srs lack of that pairing in the world, a wrong that must be rectified! Also, Spock/Chekov. I didn't think to prompt it at the time, partly because I have no idea how that relationship would actually work. I just know that someway, somehow it totally would and I refuse to be denied.

Final item on tonight(/this morning?)'s laundry list, I'm 13,000 words behind on my JulNoNovel. Balls. But I will catch up. Where there's a will there's a way. First I'll find my will, then everything else will fall into place.

Right so, it ez meh birfthday! It's official in 3 hours and 12 minutes because that's right, thanks to my loving parents I know the exact moment I was born into the world (and exactly how long my mother was in labor but that was a completely different awkward conversation).

In other news, I picked up another prompt at rounds_of_kink. This one is for the Star Trek XI, though. The others are for Heroes and I'm fucked. About a half of a Heroes prompt (I agreed to write two) is finished, it's due on the 3rd. I have a hunch that one's going to be late because I have absolutely no will to write anything that isn't Kirk/Spock. Yeah, I'm a freak. So what?

It's too good and I'm a little addicted. It's so good that Spork!love is compelling me to rotate in a new batch of icons, which is so lame it needs a cane. But I will forgive Spork. After all it is the original OTP, but more of that later. For now I leave you with this gem (Watch to the end FTW):



Now I'm gonna go back and play on st_xi_kink because it's like crack and cat nip and gold all rolled up schmoopy, porntastic love.

Went and saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The dialogue was questionable, and by questionable I mean bad. They spent to much time working on the zingers (which were admittedly decent) and not enough on the overall. They character assassinated Deadpool (Wade Wilson), I mean he had his fair share of issues in the comic, but I don't remember lobotomization being one of them (maybe I missed the issue :c). Also Wolverine (Logan) and Sabertooth (Victor) had these weird incestuous I-love-you-I-need-you vibes going on. I'm all one for incestuous codependency and am currently emoing over a pair of them, but Wolverine/Sabertooth is not one of my ships.

Speaking of ships and Wolverine... GAMBIT! Finally they had a movie with Gambit (Remy LeBeau) in it. They showed his name on the screen in the second movie and I had a fangirl meltdown. Having him on screen? Waaaay better. Taylor Kitsch's Cajun accent was a little iffy (barely existent) but I can get past that.

Truth be told, I can get past everything wrong with this movie, forget that the live action superhero genre seems to have peaked with V for Vendetta and Batman: The Dark Knight, because 1.) Taylor Kitsch (the guy who plays Gambit) is kind of attractive and 2.) Wolverine touched Gambit's bostaff FTW. By touched I mean cut in half, but whatevs, I'm not picky.

This week had so much potential to go right. I didn't realize just how much so until things started going wrong. I'm not going to recap everything because that would be a.) boring and b.) depressing.

But the first wrong turn was the Heroes season finale. It was kind of like a bullet in the brain except more emotionally taxing. I haven't been this upset over a t.v. show or its characters since the cancellation of Angel or that one time Buffy sent him to hell. It's a bad game and I don't want to play, but really can't help it. It just plain hurts.

On the up side of anger, I'm done with classes, only finals to go and I'm home free. Yeah, only finals. And now I'm gonna go back to watching a movie about a girl with teeth in her vag that chomps off guys dicks.

Yet Another Heroes Kink Meme will keep running until tomorrow. It's been nice being part of a fandom again. I've answered four prompts (I think). Don't rightly know if I'm going to claim them all, though. My increasingly lame attempts at fluff are kind of embarrassing.

Five hour Heroes marathon... Brain mush. Milo Ventimiglia is so fucking adorable all the time I just can't hack it. Adrian Pasdar is running around without a shirt. Pause, stop, full turn. He's not running around anymore. Now he's flying around without a shirt on.

This show is so. fucking. awesome.
