Muse's new album, The Resistance, is gold. Seriously, this is my fifth listen so far tonight and I'm still struck by how ridiculously good it is. I'm not a Muse fanboy, I swear, I'm just enthusiastic. It's not my fault they bleed awesome.

I just hope against hope with fingers and legs crossed that it doesn't take another two years for them to release the next album -not that I won't love them all the more in anticipation.

Also just released, from the publishers who brought us Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I've got nothing against the real works of Jane Austen, honest, but these parodies are just too good to pass up in the name of good taste.

So to further my pathetic attempts to avoid starting JulNoWriMo in earnest, I come bearing a mini Star Trek: The Animated Series picspam!

This series is just as cracktastic as the live action original series, but with the vaguely fucked up cartoon illustrations of LSD induced hallucinations that they didn't have the technology to recreate but for as animation.

Before you click I warn you of bad quality caps. The series was made the 70s. The quality was bad then, it's worse now. Uploading them to photobucket probably didn't help :s (ilu photobucket, keeper of my icons hoards).

Bono has a twitter. That makes me feel so shiny and valid, which only makes sense when you take into account just how many people try to make me feel filthy for being a tweeter.

Joy and love on Bunny/Jesus-Zombification Day.

EDIT: Al Gore has one too. Squee.

Going on my now nearly nightly trek to Delicious I stumbled across this gem; behold Facebook for Parents. It's a guide for loving parents on how to facebook stalk their children. The creators (Fogg & Phillips) will be teaching a class at Standford about facebook. Now isn't that special?

I just won NaNoWriMo '08 and now I feel all warm and fuzzy and accomplished on the inside. It's very nice, and I'm not just talking about the winner's graphics either.

NaNoWriMo '08 was a fucky, tripped out mess of a bitch, but I fell in love anyways. Hey, everybody's got to have a type, right? We'll have to wait and see if that love leads me to any sort of completion.

Is it time to start planning for next year yet?

I think that over the past 24 hours my life has peaked. Everything else is downhill. I'm extremely happy right now, but also extremely tired. I seem some pass-outage in my near future. I just wanted to document my 'yay-ness' to show that 'yes, I have good days too'.

... I am currently listening to an acoustic remake of "Baby Got Back". Morbid fascination sucked me in and won't let go. I don't know whether to laugh or vomit. It's like... lyrical and pretty, except it's "Baby Got Back". The world just tilted on it's axis.
